WHAT IS DELEGATION?

Delegation is a way for you to delegate the voting power of your tokens to a community member who has explicitly volunteered to play an active role in ApeCoin DAO governance. These volunteers are called delegates. You may change your delegation at any time.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I DELEGATE? DO I HAVE TO GIVE UP MY TOKENS?

You retain 100% ownership of your tokens when delegating, and can continue to use them however you want.

WHAT IF I WANT TO CHANGE WHO I DELEGATED TO?

You may change your delegate selection at any time by returning to this page to change your delegate selection, or to re-delegate voting power to yourself.

WHO CAN I DELEGATE TO?

You can choose anyone who you believe will participate in ApeCoin DAO governance and can represent what you want this community to become. The delegates shown here have explicitly volunteered to play an active role in the DAO. You can see a delegate’s statement of interest, as well as participation history by clicking on their profile picture. You may also delegate to any address (even if they are not shown here) using the input field to the top-left.

CAN I CHANGE MY DELEGATE PROFILE AFTER SUBMITTING?

Yes. You may change your delegate profile anytime by connecting your wallet to the delegation site and clicking on the delegate application link.

DO DELEGATES RECEIVE ANYTHING IN EXCHANGE FOR BEING DELEGATES?

Delegates are not awarded extra tokens for being delegates.

DO I NEED TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO DELEGATE MY TOKENS?

You only need to submit yourself as a delegate if you want to appear in the list of delegates shown in the delegation interface.

CAN I STILL DELEGATE IF I AM STAKING MY TOKENS?

Yes, you can still delegate and vote on proposals if you are staking your tokens.

CAN I DELEGATE TO MULTIPLE WALLETS?

No, at this time Snapshot does not support partial delegations.

DOES DELEGATING COST GAS?

Yes, delegating is an on-chain event that requires a small gas fee.

DO I HAVE TO DELEGATE TO MYSELF?

No. Tokens you own are automatically delegated to you unless you have chosen a delegate.

WHY CAN'T I DELEGATE?

Make sure you hold ApeCoin tokens and are connected to the Ethereum network.

CAN I OVERRIDE MY DELEGATE'S VOTES?

Yes, you can override your delegate's vote by voting directly on Snapshot. Voting directly overrides any previously delegated voting power.

HOW DO I CHANGE MY PROFILE PICTURE?
